January weather

I've been running around town today doing errands and you know what I noticed?  The weather today in southeast Texas is not that bad.  I looked at the thermometer late this afternoon and it was 70 degrees.  That's a bit more than in the 50s which is my favorite, but it's considerably better than the heat and humidity that's always lurking around a Texas corner.  If I had my druthers it would never get warmer than it did today.   Who am I kidding?  I would love it if we could have snow flurries like we did in December 2009.  I love my plants and I don't like it when they freeze, but snow still brings out the kid in me.
