Daddy was right

when he said, "when an issue comes up in a marriage, you have to go back to the beginning of the relationship.  You search for that feeling you had many years ago.  If you can find that, you can begin to move forward."

If you're fortunate, going back will either make whatever is going on seem insignificant and not as serious as you feared.  Or, going back you may discover that everything has changed, and there really is a problem.

If you're like me, it's always enlightening to go back.  It's not only that it puts the present in perspective, it reminds me that we've come this far, weathered our share, and then some.  We've survived and we're having fun.

Daddy was right.
